How to Make a Simple Bandanna Dress

My oldest daughter is five.  She has been asking for a sewing machine for every birthday and major holiday since she was three.  I’ve tried to get her into sewing classes, but none of the places around here want to take a kid under eight.  So, this summer Mama sucked it up and started teaching her to sew.

Our first machine project was this very kid-friendly sewing project.  It only required a few straight lines, and it was quick enough that she could see the results of her effort right away.

Every year when fall starts to arrive and the air gets crisp, I’m reminded how much I love the Northwest! There’s just nothing like the beautiful colors, smells, and outdoor activities that this area has to offer! The smells of apple cider, pumpkin pie, and leaves falling off the trees  puts me in such a festive mood! I hope this list will help you feel the same way!

1. Go to Greenbluff!

Fall is the time to go and visit Greenbluff! It’s harvest time and Greenbluff knows how to throw a harvest party! There are corn mazes, apple cider, food, music, events, and so much more. One of our favorite things to do is go and pick out a pumpkin with our kids. And of course its a great place for pictures as well! There’s always something to do that will thrill your family.
